Calmness Walk – a mindfulness walk for people experiencing bereavement
Sometimes grief needs not so much words as movement, breath and the presence of nature. A walk can become a gentle way of being with what is difficult for us.
The House of Solace and The Labs invite you to Park Młociński Relaxation Area, where in complete freedom you can take advantage of the therapeutic power of nature, seeking peace, joy and a sense of purpose within it. We will draw from the methodology Forest bathing - forest bathing - and according to the principles of Japanese medicine, we will immerse our senses in the atmosphere of the forest.
This will be an unhurried walk amongst the trees – slow enough to notice the subtle connections of all beings, to observe the play of light through the leaves, to follow the flight of butterflies, to hear the birds, to touch the bark of trees, and to smell the flowers. We will offer guidance on how to invite nature deep within ourselves, how to make it our tender companion and healer. There will also be circles, during which we will try to foster the beginning of a supportive community. And there will be a river, which will carry our sorrows beyond the horizon.
During the walk, there will also be simple invitations for reflection and short moments of shared pause. You won't need to say more than you wish. You can simply walk together, at your own pace, and see what it's like to grieve not alone, but alongside others.
