Digital accessibility status

At Dom Ukojenia / Grief House Warsaw / Дім Полегшення, we strive to ensure that our website at https://griefhouse.community/ is digitally accessible in accordance with the WCAG 2.1 guidelines at level AA.

Date of first publication of the website: 29 November 2025.

Date of the most recent significant update affecting accessibility: 17 October 2026.

Based on the self-assessment conducted on 17 October 2026, full compliance of the website with WCAG 2.1 AA cannot be confirmed. No automated WAVE errors were detected in many of the areas examined, but some accessibility limitations were identified, including the inability to fully operate the monthly events calendar using a keyboard. This statement is provided voluntarily and is based on a self-assessment of limited scope.

Inaccessible content and features

  • The monthly events calendar currently does not allow users to navigate between months, select a view, or open events using only a keyboard. This applies to the Sugar Calendar component. To find and open events without using a mouse, you can use the alternative events list at https://griefhouse.community/events/. A link to this list is also provided before the monthly calendar.
  • During the automated review of the events list, WAVE detected empty table headers. Their impact on assistive technologies has not yet been determined.
  • At very high zoom levels, in certain configurations, the floating accessibility button may partially overlap the menu. Widget settings have been adjusted for a 320 px viewport and 200% zoom; the situation at 400% zoom requires further testing.
  • Some forms and materials may not have been fully tested with a screen reader.

Accessibility features and alternative access

  • The website is available in Polish, English, and Ukrainian. Links to the language versions can be found in the website footer.
  • The website includes an accessibility widget that allows users to adjust how content is displayed, including font size and contrast. Using this widget is not necessary to access the website's main content.
  • Information about meetings and links to their details are also available in the form of an events list at https://griefhouse.community/events/
  • If you encounter an accessibility issue or need information in a different format, please contact us at hello@griefhouse.community.

Preparation of the accessibility statement

Date of preparation of the statement based on the self-assessment: 17 October 2026.

This statement was prepared based on a self-assessment conducted by Izabela Jachnicka, using the WAVE tool and manual testing of keyboard navigation, zoom functionality, selected form features, and basic document accessibility. The assessment was limited in scope and did not constitute a comprehensive expert accessibility audit.

Keyboard shortcuts
