Are you prepared for discussions about death, longing, and grief to potentially arise during the meeting?

Organising a walk

Let us know about your needs — this will help the facilitators prepare for the meeting in a thoughtful way.
Do you know what forest therapy, or forest bathing, is?
Have you ever participated in a forest bath before?
Do you have any health issues that might affect your mobility, safety, and freedom to spend time in green areas or outdoors?
Such as allergies, diabetes, mobility impairments, sensory impairments, phobias or nature-related traumas, schizophrenia, panic attacks or other relevant health issues.

We will stroll outdoors for several hours at a leisurely pace. Being in a natural environment offers many benefits, but also potential hazards.

To look after your health and safety, it's worth:

Dress appropriately for the weather (e.g. comfortable clothing and footwear, a cape in case of predicted rain, and an extra layer that can be put on if it gets cooler).
2) Take something to drink. The walk will conclude with a ceremony of drinking herbs or tea, but it's worth looking after your hydration during the walk as well.
3) Consider using repellents and to thoroughly check the entire body for ticks upon returning home, removing them as quickly as possible if found. Ticks can also be picked up in urban areas almost all year round, but using an anti-tick repellent minimises the risk.
4) Avoid risky situations.
Follow the guide's instructions..

📸 Photos and Media Presence

During a walk, there may be photographer, who is preparing a photo story about the Grief House Warsaw project for our grant project. We are keen to capture the atmosphere of the meetings, nature, gestures and shared presence — not to show the private stories of the participants.

It is also possible to have TV crew. The material will concern the leaders and the idea of the project itself. We do not plan to record the statements of the participants or film them in a way that would put them at the centre of the material.

If you are concerned about remaining out of shot, please let us know — we will try to take this into account organisationally.

Do you agree to a photographer being present at the event and the possible presence of a television crew under the above terms?
