Free meeting for people in grief around a shared table

After a loss, even the simplest things can become a challange: cooking, eating, having a meal alone. Sometimes it’s not about a lack of appetite, but a lack of meaning (“there’s no one to cook for anymore”), the feeling that “I don’t have the strength,” or “I don’t want to be alone with this.” Grief Soup is a meeting where we return to something very simple: we prepare a shared meal and eat it together.

What is Grief Soup?

Grief Soup is a small-group meeting where we cook a simple soup/meal together (step by step), and then sit around the table. In the kitchen and at the table, it’s easier to “just be.” These are places where conversation appears naturally between chopping, stirring, and serving — but it is never required. We’re in this together, with openness to tears (from onions and not only). With the kind presence of other people who also know the experience of grief.

You don’t have to know how to cook (we’re not kitchen masters either — though we hope Robert Makłowicz will visit us one day 😉 ) — we’ll prepare everything together.

👥 Is this meeting for you?

Yes, if:
you are grieving the death of someone close (no matter how much time has passed)
after the loss it’s hard for you to cook, or you miss shared meals
you want to meet people who understand the experience of grief
you need a calm, kind space — with the option to sit in silence or share what you’re carrying
you simply want to do something together with others, without having to explain yourself

Admission is free of charge. The meeting is organised as part of the Inkubator Pomysłów programme, funded by the European Funds for Social Development.
