Support circle for women “Fragility and strength in difficult times – a space of shared experience” in Ukrainian

The Ukrainian House Foundation and Grief House Warsaw invite you to an intimate support circle for women who are experiencing loss.

Do you carry within you a longing for a home that now belongs to the past? Is it sometimes difficult to explain to others the feeling of emptiness after moving, or after losing your former place, role, or status? Are you currently living with separation, the loss of a loved one, or the sense that your inner ground has been shaken?

This will be a gentle and safe space to talk about sadness, change, and what hurts quietly. We will pay particular attention to migratory loss — saying goodbye to one’s previous life, former status, close circle of relationships, and sometimes also to the self from “before the move.” This, too, is a deep and important process of living through loss and coming to terms with change.

How will the meeting unfold? During the circle, you do not need to say more than you want to. You may share your experience, but you may also simply be with others and listen. We do not ask for detailed stories and we do not encourage returning to painful events. What matters most to us is presence, respect, attentiveness, and mutual support.

The meeting will be held in Ukrainian. Registration for the event is coordinated by the Ukrainian Women’s Club.

Admission is free of charge. The meeting is organised as part of the Inkubator Pomysłów programme, funded by the European Funds for Social Development.

Important: this is not therapy or crisis intervention. It is a space of social support for women who want to stay with the subject of loss in a safe circle.

The meeting will be facilitated by:

Izabela Jachnicka and Mariia Zavialova

The circle helps each woman hear her own story — the one she carries within herself
